May the prama begin

With the start of Spring, everyone knows what's right around the corner. No, I'm not talking about Easter. This is prom season.

Prama is defined as a special type of drama that surrounds prom. And wow, with my school's prom less than a month away, I can sure tell you it's a word you'll need to know. Prom is complicated, from dates, to pre-prom, to an after prom party. From shoes to hair to makeup, to most importantly – the dress!

Prom dresses are hard because if you're anything like me, you don't want a tacky neon yellow dress scattered with sequins. There is a fine line between sparkle and blinding your date with shine! Secondly, dress prices can get, let's say "out of hand" (by out of hand I mean $1000+ for a gown you'll wear one night...).

Below are a few of my top dress picks, neither too extravagant or pricy. Hopefully this helps simplifies everyone's personal prama!
I love this dress from JCrew's wedding line. The green is perfect for spring, the cut is simple, and at $365, the price isn't horrible. It comes in a million other colors too, ranging from a minimal white to a bright red. Get it here
Pretty in peach, this BCBG pick has just enough interest in the ruffle, front hemline, and single shoulder that it doesn't become boring while still remaining rather simple in design. $298

Tan girl listen up, this white dress looks amazing with dark skin. A unique neckline paired with platinum snake skin accents make this dress a real chic stand out. $150

Simple, silky, and navy blue, what more can a girl want in a prom dress? $294

A personal fave I'm considering ordering, this beautiful pink Parker dress. At $286 the price is manageable for such a pretty piece. You could also definitely get more than one wear out of this bad boy.
